STAIN REMOVAL PRO TIP
When removing a stain from carpeting don’t try scrubbing or spraying it with store bought cleaning products. It will cause the stain or spot in your carpet to set even further. Also, do not scrub the stain as this can cause unsightly distortion in the carpet pile.Removing carpet stains requires years of experience so the fibers of your carpeting aren’t damaged. We recommend absorbing as much of the staining liquid as possible by using a clean cotton towel and compressing on the stain. We advise using a #25 flat weight as the compression tool. By placing the weight on top of the cotton towel, you will help absorb any residual liquid and may even help absorb any liquid that may have seeped into the padding as well.
Make sure to check the towel every half hour to monitor the liquid absorption. If the towel is colored with the colored liquid then it’s time to flip the towel over and absorb more. When the color transfer isn’t visible on the towel any longer, you’ll know it’s time to stop.
At this point, apply a fan to dry the carpet and call us or schedule an apointment. When we arrive, we’ll asess the carpeted area and provide further aid to remove any other stains.
